A marine installation project is rarely limited to placing a new unit on board. The equipment must fit the available space, connect to vessel power and controls, interface with piping or structure, remain accessible for operation and maintenance, and be tested within an agreed technical scope.

One Technical Project, Not Disconnected Contractors

A project can fail at the boundary between otherwise competent suppliers. The equipment vendor may not own the piping change. The electrician may not own the automation logic. The fabricator may not have the final equipment dimensions. The commissioning specialist may arrive before the installation is ready.

TESS coordinates those boundaries through one technical project structure: confirmed responsibilities, shared inputs, interface checks, execution sequencing and a defined route to testing and handover.

The shipowner or manager retains visibility of the whole scope without having to reconstruct the technical plan from separate contractor updates.

Panama & Panama Canal Project Support

Panama can provide a practical project location for vessels trading through the Canal or planning technical attendance between voyages. Execution still depends on scope, vessel access, equipment availability, specialist requirements and the time realistically available.

TESS plans around the vessel's confirmed availability where feasible. We do not assume that every installation can be completed during one port call or Canal transit window.

Balboa / Pacific Side

Technical preparation, logistics and onboard attendance can be coordinated for an appropriate Pacific-side vessel call, berth or anchorage arrangement.

Cristóbal / Colón / Atlantic Side

Project support can also be coordinated around Atlantic-side access, vessel availability and the confirmed installation requirements.

Class, OEM & Technical Documentation

Some projects require input, review or attendance from classification societies, flag representatives, equipment manufacturers or other technical authorities. The applicable route depends on the vessel, equipment, modification and confirmed scope.

TESS can coordinate the technical interfaces and documentation flow where those parties are applicable, without presenting coordination as automatic approval or sign-off.

Does every project require class or OEM attendance?

No. Requirements depend on the vessel, equipment, modification and applicable rules. TESS can coordinate class, flag, OEM or specialist involvement where the confirmed project requires it.

Can installation be completed during a Panama Canal call?

Some projects can be planned around a vessel's Panama availability, but completion during one call is not assumed. Feasibility depends on engineering readiness, equipment, logistics, access, specialist requirements, testing and the time actually available.

Do we need complete drawings before sending a request?

No. Send the information currently available, such as photos, nameplates, manuals, drawings or datasheets. TESS can identify which additional surveys or technical inputs are needed to define the next step.

Can TESS coordinate several specialist contractors?

Yes. Multidisciplinary coordination is central to the TESS integration model. Specialist and subcontractor scopes can be organized through one technical coordination point while responsibilities remain clearly defined.

What happens after installation?

Testing, verification and handover are coordinated according to the agreed scope and available test conditions. The handover package can include agreed equipment data, drawings, test records and outstanding items.
